The box calfskin used is additionally treated with oil, to ensure maximum protection against moisture. Inside the shoe, a snug, warm lambskin lining protects the wearer's feet from the cold, while the sturdy Dainite rubber outsole offers a secure step on icy or wet surfaces. The padded shaft and high-reaching hole-hook lacing combination are also characteristic features.
