The storied chukka boot has its origins in British India. Back in the day, English soldiers stationed in India liked to wear these comfortable ankle boots after playing polo. At the turn of the 20th century, the Duke of Windsor brought chukka boots off of the polo field and into mainstream leisurewear. They remain popular to this day; chukka boots are known for their far-reaching quarters and wearing comfort.
